Overview
Join us on a delightful journey along the Camino Inglés, a historic pilgrimage route that is less traveled than the famous Camino Francés, yet every bit as rewarding. Beginning in A Coruña, we’ll transfer by van to Ferrol, where our walk to Santiago de Compostela begins. Along the way, Joyce DeToni-Hill, your host, will share insights, stories, and local knowledge that bring the Camino to life, making the experience both meaningful and fun.
At journey’s end lies Santiago de Compostela, one of the world’s enduring spiritual treasures. In the heart of its magnificent cathedral rests the silver reliquary said to hold the remains of St. James the Greater, Apostle of Christ. Pilgrims often pause here in quiet reverence before joining in the joy and celebration of the Pilgrim Mass, where the great botafumeiro swings high above the transepts. Perhaps the most unforgettable moment, however, comes not inside the cathedral but in the open air — stepping into the grand Plaza do Obradoiro, embraced by the cathedral’s towers, and sharing the overwhelming joy of arrival with fellow pilgrims.
Our journey doesn’t end there. We’ll continue by van to the dramatic Costa da Morte and the legendary Finisterre — the “end of the earth.” Since ancient times, Celts and Romans are believed to have traveled here for ritual and wonder, and modern archaeology supports the presence of sacred sites at Finisterre and Muxía. Today, pilgrims extend their Camino here to watch the sun set over the Atlantic horizon, a breathtaking conclusion to an unforgettable adventure.

Saturday, May 2, 2026 - Santiago to Fisterra by Van
Description
Having successfully made it to Santiago, it's time to have another adventure. Let's go to Fisterra! You'll be leaving right after breakfast in a private transport and go directly there. We’ll overnight there. So many places to visit in Fisterra, but one of the main ones is the climb to the lighthouse known in galego as the faro de fisterra. "There are many suggestions of a long tradition of pre-Christian pilgrimage to the Cape, and some suggest that the Camino de Santiago itself is a Christianization of a more ancient tradition of pilgrimage toward the setting of the sun, culminating at this rocky promontory at what was thought to be the westernmost tip of Europe."
